And it was at about that time that we were looking for a name for our creative services. Someone said "Fat Cat Creative", and after that no one could think of anything more memorable. So it stuck.

Naive fools that we are, it was months later before the laughter subsided and we realized that the name "Fat Cat Creative" could have negative connotations with some people. But by then we'd already had the business cards printed, and everyone loved them, so we just decided we wouldn't work with anyone who didn't have a sense of humor about the name.
